A Mom Knows Best – A New Place To Find Me!

I’ve recently had the pleasure of meeting Allison Alexander online while looking for roommates to a blogging conference.  We wrote lots of emails to each other discussing everything from blogging to baby food.  Her personality shines through the words she writes and I can imagine her being much more than that in person -I’ll be meeting her next week in real life.

What really grabbed my interest about Allison is that she is juggling all things motherhood and a full time career in television.  Her mornings are spent nurturing her daughter, doing house work, shopping, groceries… and in the evenings she switches roles to an Emmy Award winning journalist as the news anchor in a Providence, RI news station.  If that doesn’t look like a jam packed day, let’s top it off with the management of her amazing new website A Mom Knows Best.

A couple of weeks ago, in midst of a 20 email long conversation with Allison, the idea that I write for AMKB was presented.  I’ve never thought about writing beyond Super Glue Mom; but the opportunity to focus on one thing I am passionate about- Kid’s Lunch- was hard to pass up!

Today, I’d like to introduce y’all to my new weekly writing spot-wow, that sounded southern! I will be contributing weekly lunch ideas for kids, snacks, gadgets… you name it, I’ll blog it.  My goal is to write about how to make creative, fun, convenient ways to feed our kids wholesome little lunches.

A Mom Knows Best is authentic,  engaging, & approachable.  That’s what you’ll find when you visit the site…honest dialogue between women–and men–about parenting & putting your best face forward.

Don’t miss today’s post: Easy Lunch Ideas For Kids.

This is great News!!!!! Laura. I am so happy for you. I would love to know what I can feed Isa for lunch and snack. I have such a hard time w/her lunch. She doesn’t like anything I send her and she comes home with a couple of bits of her lunch and her snack not even touched. Can’t wait to see what you will be sharing.
